Alison has been competing in dog agility across the U.S. with her Border Collies for more than 25 years and has been coaching agility for over 20 years. Over that time, she’s had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of breeds and handlers—from Dachshunds to Great Danes—and has learned that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to training.
Throughout her agility career, Alison has studied a variety of handling systems and philosophies, including Susan Garrett’s Handling 360, Shape Up Agility, OneMind Dogs, and the training systems of Kayl McCann and Grace Heck. She continues to grow as a coach by attending seminars, learning from top agility instructors and competitors, and constantly adding new tools to her training toolbox.
Whether your goal is to compete at the highest levels or simply have more fun with your dog, Alison believes training should be tailored to the individual team. She enjoys figuring out what makes each dog tick, finding the approach that works best for both dog and handler, and helping teams build the skills, confidence, and connection they need to succeed together.
At CPK9s, her goal is simple: to help you and your dog become the best team you can be—while having a whole lot of fun along the way.
